redesigns

Mostly people hate site redesigns because it breaks what they’re used to. This makes it very difficult to assess whether a redesign is better or not.

I’m a very occasional visitor to Ars Technica. I really only read it when I’m sufficiently bored that I’ve exhausted Slashdot so much that I remember that Ars exists. So I am not really ‘used’ to it. But I think we can all agree that the new redesign is objectively awful. It seems hard to actually find stuff to read now. I don’t even remember how it used to work, I just remember that it did.
